If you are new to Vermont, you’ll want to know about our traditional Town Meeting, held annually on the first Tuesday in March. All residents in the Town are encouraged to participate in the evening meeting at the Opera House in Town Hall the Monday before, when the budget is adopted, and to vote in the Town election on Tuesday at the Masonic Temple. In Rockingham, residents vote by secret ballot (called Australian Ballot) on Tuesday for three of the five Selectboard members.

Pick up a copy of the Town Report, which is distributed at least ten days before Town Meeting, at Town Hall, and at the Rockingham Library. The Report includes the proposed budget, highlights on the year from the elected boards, the Municipal Manager, the Town Departments and the Social Service agencies supported by the Town budget.
