Bellows Falls Intermodal Transportation Center Project (BFITC)
The Bellows Falls Train Station built in 1923 is ready for a 100-year interior system upgrade. Currently the station is used for twice daily Amtrak and Greyhound bus stops, Amtrak 12:36 pm and 5:26 pm, Greyhound 7 am and 3 pm, as well as various train events like the fall visit of the American Association of Private Rail Car Owners (AAPRCO) and the Fire Association's 'Santa Train' fundraiser.
The Town of Rockingham purchased the station building in 2024, and has begun the necessary rehabilitation, including masonry, brick repair, window and door restoration. ADA upgrades will enhance historical integrity and enable accessibility and enjoyment for residents and visitors alike, the Town continues to collaborate with Amtrak and the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) on these upgrades.
