The Rockingham Tree Committee is pleased to announce the Rockingham Community Tree Nursery (RCTN) which will share space with the Community Garden at the base of the ski tow, Oak Hill Trails and adjacent to the pumptrack.
As a solution to costly nursery trees at $1,000 per tree, the Committee has found an inexpensive solution. They are buying seedlings and saplings from $2-$50 to plant at the nursery until large enough to plant along streets, in parks and at schools.
The Committee recently received a $514 grant from the VT Urban and Community Forestry and VELCO mini-grant award for tree purchases in the spring of 2027.
