Rockingham received funding by the Department of Housing & Community Development through the Downtown Transportation Fund for ADA and streetscape upgrades to bumpouts in Downtown Bellows Falls. 

The Flat Iron building Bumpout on the corner of Westminster, Mill and Bridge Street and the brick bumpout at Walgreen's will be upgraded in 2026.

At the Flat Iron bumpout, the tree was dead in May 2026 and fell over in the early morning hours in July 2026. The trunk was dead and rotted.

At the Walgreen's bumpout, brickwork must be removed, and new sidewalk will be replaced. Stay tuned for ADA upgrades, new brickwork and safe streets!

Rockingham hired SVE Associates of Brattleboro for Design & Engineering. Construction Fall of 2026 to be completed before snowfall.
